Upon arrival, you will be picked up by car and taken to your carefully selected hotel, which is not only conveniently located, but also provides you with a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. After checking in, you can either take a break to adjust to jet lag or take a stroll through the neighborhood to get a taste of Chongqing’s unique alleyways and cityscape.
In the evening, try some authentic Chongqing snacks, such as skewers and hot and sour noodles, at the night market near the hotel to stock up on energy for the rest of the trip.
Day 2: Chongqing

No need to rush—take your time to capture photos and fully immerse yourself in this unique perspective of Chongqing.
After your ropeway adventure, proceed to Jiefangbei, the bustling central business district centered around the historic Liberation Monument. Here you can enjoy a leisurely lunch at one of the many local restaurants, sample street food, and do some people-watching. Afterwards, explore the recently revitalized Eighteen Stairs (Shibati) district nearby. Wander through its stepped alleyways where traditional architecture houses trendy cafés and souvenir shops, perfectly representing Chongqing’s blend of old and new.
Next, witness one of Chongqing’s most famous phenomena at Liziba Station, where the metro train dramatically passes directly through a residential building. The viewing platform offers the perfect photo opportunity to capture this marvel of urban engineering. Then, continue to Ciqi Kou Ancient Town along the Jialing River. Arriving later in the day helps you avoid the largest crowds while still enjoying the well-preserved Ming and Qing-era architecture, traditional handicrafts, and local snacks.
