Day 1: Nanjing

Arrival in Nanjing–Night tour of Qinhuai River 4-star Hotels Breakfast & Lunch Upon your arrival in Nanjing, you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel for check-in. After a brief rest, we’ll take a relaxing evening tour along the Qinhuai River, often called the “Mother River” of Nanjing. This scenic river, lined with ancient houses and vibrant streets, is the heart of the city’s historical charm. As night falls, the river glows with beautiful lights, offering a unique perspective of the city. You will also pass by Confucius Temple, one of the oldest and most famous temples in China. The surrounding area is filled with small shops, street food, and traditional markets, making it a perfect spot for an evening walk. Evening Option: If you are interested in experiencing more of Nanjing’s nightlife, you can choose to visit the Yangtze River Bridge and enjoy the panoramic views of the river and the surrounding cityscape, particularly stunning as the area lights up at night.

Day 2: Nanjing

Zhongshan Scenic Area (Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum–Music Stage–Wutong Avenue)–Ancient jimiao Temple–Nanjing City Wall–Xuanwu Lake–Confucius Temple 4-star Hotels Breakfast & Lunch After breakfast, we will first visit the Zhongshan Scenic Area, home to the magnificent Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum. This mausoleum is located on the slopes of the Purple Mountain and provides panoramic views of Nanjing. The mausoleum is a symbol of the modern Chinese revolution and an important site in China’s history. Next, we head to Xuanwu Lake, a beautiful lake surrounded by parks, temples, and pagodas. Here, you can enjoy a leisurely boat ride or simply relax by the lakeside, taking in the peaceful surroundings. In the afternoon, we will visit the Nanjing City Wall, a magnificent ancient defense structure that dates back to the Ming Dynasty. Walk along its imposing walls and get a sense of Nanjing’s historic significance. Finally, we will explore the Ancient jimiao Temple, which is not only a sacred site but also a popular place for locals to engage in cultural activities like Tai Chi and calligraphy. Evening Option: For those interested in an evening of entertainment, you may want to visit the Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge for a mesmerizing light show. Or, you can explore the Qinhuai Night Market, a bustling market full of local foods and handicrafts.

Day 3: Nanjing--Suzhou

Nanjing–Suzhou–Hanshan Temple–Xiyuan Temple–Qili Street Pond 4-star Hotels Breakfast & Lunch After breakfast, we’ll board a high-speed train to Suzhou, known for its classical gardens and canals. Our first stop will be Hanshan Temple, where you’ll hear the famous sound of the temple bell, believed to bring good luck. Next, we’ll visit Xiyuan Temple, a serene Buddhist temple surrounded by lush greenery, providing a peaceful escape from the city. You can also explore the Qili Street Pond, where local life is on full display with traditional architecture and lively street performances. After lunch, we will head to Pingjiang Road, one of Suzhou’s oldest streets, where you can admire traditional wooden houses, explore antique shops, or take a boat ride through the ancient canals. Evening Option: In the evening, enjoy a leisurely stroll along Pingjiang Road, or take a canal tour to view the traditional Suzhou homes lit up under the night sky. This is a great opportunity to experience the city’s romantic atmosphere.

Day 4: Suzhou

Zhuozheng Garden–Pingjiang Road–Double Tower Market–Jinji Lake Scenic Area 4-star Hotels Breakfast & Lunch After breakfast, we will explore Zhuozheng Garden, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for its stunning rock formations, tranquil ponds, and classic Chinese architecture. This is one of the best examples of Suzhou’s famous garden design and a must-see when visiting the city. Next, we will visit the Double Tower Market, a vibrant area known for its bustling shops and street food, offering visitors a chance to experience local life. In the afternoon, we will head to Jinji Lake Scenic Area, a modern district with skyscrapers, shopping malls, and open spaces. Day 5: Suzhou--Shanghai

Suzhou–Shanghai–Nanjing Road–Oriental Pearl Tower–Lujiazui–The Bund 4-star Hotels Breakfast & Lunch After breakfast, we’ll take a short train ride to Shanghai, China’s vibrant economic hub. We’ll start by visiting Nanjing Road, one of the world’s busiest shopping streets, where you’ll have time to shop and explore the numerous stores and malls. Next, we’ll head to Oriental Pearl Tower, where you can ascend to the observation deck for a panoramic view of Shanghai’s skyline. We’ll also visit Lujiazui, the financial district of Shanghai, home to some of the tallest and most modern buildings in the world. Later, we’ll visit The Bund, a famous waterfront area with colonial-era buildings, offering an interesting contrast to the ultra-modern skyscrapers across the river. Evening Option: In the evening, you can opt to enjoy an exhilarating Shanghai Acrobatics Show, showcasing some of the most impressive acrobatic feats. Day 6: Shanghai--Hangzhou

Wukang Road–Yuyuan Garden–Chenghuang Temple–Hangzhou 4-star Hotels Breakfast & Lunch Today, we take a train ride to Hangzhou, a city famous for its natural beauty and peaceful lakes. Upon arrival, we’ll visit the stunning West Lake, where you can enjoy a boat ride and explore the surrounding gardens, pagodas, and temples. Next, we’ll visit Lingyin Temple, one of China’s largest and most renowned Buddhist temples. The temple is surrounded by lush forests and beautiful carvings, making it a peaceful place for reflection. Evening Option: In the evening, you can enjoy the famous Impression West Lake Show, a breathtaking outdoor performance that takes place on the lake, with the natural beauty of the surroundings blending with traditional Chinese music and dance.

Day 7: Hangzhou

West Lake–Lingyin Temple 4-star Hotels Breakfast & Lunch Today, we will explore Longjing Tea Plantations, where you can learn about the process of making the famous Longjing tea. You will have the opportunity to try your hand at picking tea leaves and tasting freshly brewed tea. In the afternoon, we’ll visit Leifeng Pagoda, an iconic structure overlooking West Lake. The pagoda offers magnificent views of the lake and surrounding areas, making it a perfect spot for photography. Evening Option: Finish your day with a peaceful stroll along Su Causeway, a picturesque path that runs through the heart of West Lake. Alternatively, enjoy a traditional Chinese tea ceremony at one of the lakeside tea houses.

Day 8: Hangzhou

Departure from Hangzhou 4-star Hotels Breakfast & Lunch After breakfast, you’ll have some free time to explore Hangzhou further. You can visit the bustling Wushan Night Market or take a relaxing walk through one of the city’s many parks. If you’re interested in taking home some local products, we recommend visiting Hefang Street, a historic street known for its traditional shops selling Longjing tea, silk products, and Chinese medicine. It’s a great place to pick up authentic Hangzhou souvenirs, such as tea sets, hand-painted fans, or traditional Chinese crafts. In the afternoon, we will transfer you to the airport for your departure flight, marking the end of this unforgettable 8-day journey.
